A Miracle of Speed and Survival
On August 1st, 1992, my brother was born 16 weeks premature and was one of the most premature babies to survive.
Our mum didn’t know she was pregnant until the day she gave birth.
She went to the doctors for a stomach ache and they told her she was about to give birth immediately!
My brother was named after Linford Christie.
Our parents chose the name before the race, to give my brother a name to remember, unsure of his fate.
Given what happened next, it was a great call.
Christie ran the 100 metres in under 10 seconds, winning gold at the Olympics and becoming the first European to run sub ten seconds.
Recently, Linford Christie's BBC documentary offered deep insights into his world.
With the Olympics underway and the anniversary of that August date, it’s a fitting time to share this story.
Linford Brett, now my business partner, and I built MetaHub XR from the ground up.
Our journey mirrors resilience, speed, and unexpected success.
Working with Linford has been profound, blending personal history with professional ambition.
The lessons from our partnership and his namesake’s legacy inspire our business ethos.
Every challenge is met with determination, much like Christie’s sprint to victory.
MetaHub stands as a testament to perseverance and rapid, unexpected progress.
This story isn't just about overcoming odds; it’s about embracing the unexpected and sprinting towards success.
We continue to push boundaries, inspired by a name that represents extraordinary feats.
It’s a narrative of enduring spirit and unyielding resolve.
