The unstoppable march of technological progress and the need for institutional evolution 💡
It is remarkable to consider that within a single lifetime, some individuals witnessed the Wright Brothers' pioneering flight in 1903, the dawn of commercial aviation in 1914, and the awe-inspiring lunar landing in 1969. Such a rapid pace of technological advancement is astounding, yet it pales in comparison to the exponential growth we are poised to experience in the coming years.
We need to recognize that certain "dinosaur" institutions have remained relatively unchanged since their inception, even as the world around them has transformed. For example, the British Parliament, established in 1265 during the medieval era, still wields significant influence despite its antiquated origins.
Those who assume these institutions will not evolve to address the needs of an increasingly complex and technologically-driven society will find themselves sorely mistaken.
